Hey Everyone and Welcome to the Criss Karver Chanel!

Today is the day where Boris, my long fin albino red oscar moves BACK into the 125 gallon with some of his old buddies!

As much as I wanted to keep Horace and Boris together, it just wasn't going to happen since Horace, the Flowerhorn Cichlid turned out to be an abuser and bullied Boris the oscar into submission each and every night.

SOOOO... we just took out the problem and the issue is solved! Now, Horace the flowerhorn is nice and comfy by his spoiled rotten self! :)

The tiger barbs were the first to welcome Boris and as each of the other aggressive cichlids in the tank met with Boris one on one, I oculd see that the problems in this fish tank would be far less than with Horace the hater! I mean... Flowerhorn.

Anyway, be sure to SHARE, LIKE and SUBSCRIBE for future fish videos! Thank you for watching!

Hey Everyone and welcome back to the Criss Karver Channel!
Today is a simple update on my flowerhorn fish 'Horace'. He has grown incredibly large in the last few months and today I will show you why I believe he is a Trump supporter!

Why? You may ask? Well... just check out the wall he builds every day.

Horace is a very cool flowerhorn fish. For those of you who have never owned one, they are one of the coolest fish I've ever owned in my life... however... most flowerhorns have to live alone... which really sucks!

Hey Everyone and welcome to the Criss Karver channel!

Today I am reintroducing my rainbow boa Persius to You Tube. He is three years old and about 3-4 feet. Persius loves company and he is very active.

A completely different snake than my ball pythons, Persius is a stand alone snake. He was always one of my favorites as a teen and I finally got one!

Hope you enjoyed the first video of Persius the rainbow boa and be sure to LIKE, SHARE and SUBSCRIBE to my channel for more videos such as this one!

Hey Everyone and welcome to the Criss Karver Channel!

Today I'm doing something a little fun. I was sitting around the house thinking of all the fish I have owned in the past 30 years and then decided to pick the top 25 and do a video on it.

From african cichlids, convicts and flowerhorns to the black piranha to my fiesty little tiger barbs... I think you'll enjoy this video as much as I and I'm sure you will see something that may just catch your eye!

Feel free to mention YOUR favorite fish in the comment section below! It may give me some ideas for future fish for myself!

Today is the UPDATE for my Piranha and Tiger Barbs. The six piranha have grown quite a bit and the tiger barbs are as feisty as ever!

Here is a very active aquarium that I have grown to love. I have had tiger barbs and piranha for quite a few years now and the combo is one I'd like to keep.

Piranha can be quite boring once they are of age but I have found with tiger barbs in large numbers... can keep older piranha active and more fun to watch.

My piranha tanks in the past have received quite a bit of attention but with the tiger barbs... it's a whole new story. These tiger barbs are very active and eat anything that hits the water including worms, flake food, goldfish, ham and frozen foods such as brine shrimp.

Adding any fish to a piranha tank is dangerous so be sure to do your research first. These tiger barbs were over a year old before I added baby piranha. Allowing them to establish territory first is the key to this aquariums success!

Hey Everyone and welcome to the Criss Karver Channel!

Today is corporate restructuring on my 125 gallon fish aquarium. Today is the day the my long fin albino oscar 'Boris' and my flowerhorn 'Horace' get moved out of the 125 and into the 55 gallon in order for the NEW cichilds to grow!

Today I reintroduced a GREEN TERROR, a JACK DEMPSEY, a JAGUAR and a TEXAS CICHLID into my 125 with my awesome tiger barbs, cat fish, convicts and auratus.

I am happy to say that after a 40-45 gallon water change, complete furniture change as well as adding about 75 gold fish and minnows for distraction... these guys are on their way to becoming the fish of my future!

Doing updates on these guys at an older age will be a lot of fun and I look forward to it! Be sure to SUBSCRIBE now so that you can be notified of future videos involving all of my fish!

Thank you for watching and we will see you next time!!

Driving down a back road, my daughter and I spotted a turtle in center road. Sadly to say... he was in pieces... We thought about turning around and we also thought about allowing nature to take its course...

What would you do if you came across the same thing we did?

Come take a journey of recovery with this cute little guy and see exactly how this turtle went from certain death to a new beginning!

How do you fix a crushed turtle? I had absolutely NO IDEA!

However... thanks to YouTube videos, my daughter and I figured out how to fix a turtle shell with just a little hard work and faith.
This... is the story of CRUSH!

Hey Everyone and welcome to the Criss Karver Channel!
Today I'm posting a little 'Tiff' between Mom and Dad convict fish.

Last night the mother convict began EATING all of the new eggs she just laid!! During the process of consuming the unborn... Father convict became very agitated and started fighting with the Mom! Now... the morning after... Father Convict refuses to let Mother Convict visit with her present babies and chases her off any chance he gets!

So now, the question I need to ask myself is... should I take both fish out? The parents I mean...

Should I let nature take it's course?

Help me decide this won't you?

Hey Everyone! Ok... YOU asked for it, so I'm giving it to you!
This is a tutorial for how to set up your fish tank! It is a step by step how-to video that will allow you some peace of mind when deciding whether or not to get a new fish aquarium.

I brought this 55 gallon aquarium out of storage and can't wait to show you what fish are going to go in it! Any questions... please comment below!

Hey Everyone! Okay so I decided to take multiple questions asked by my viewers and put the answers into ONE video for everyone to see. In the mean time, I get an overhauled aquarium out of it!

My tiger barbs are now nearing 3 1/2 years old. The average life span for tiger barbs is around 5 years so I'm doing pretty good so far. In the last year I have lost a few tiger barbs due to age and so today it's time to introduce five new tiger barbs and restock my tank as more tiger barbs will just continue to die off over the next year and a half.

In this video I demonstrate my cleaning techniques as well as a few personal secrets that might just help you with your own aquarium.

I get asked constantly how I get my tiger barbs so big and colorful and the answer is the size of the aquarium and the types of food I feed them.

Tiger barbs are super cool fish and are very colorful and aggressive. There are other fish you can put with them as demonstrated in my past and present videos. I've housed them with Piranha, African Cichlids, South American Cichlids and a few others with little regret.

What is this ball python?

Hey Everyone! Okay, so this is the first year I paired my Pastel Trick male to my Pinstripe female. Now, I am very familiar with the outcomes of this clutch but when I saw some of these babies I had to notify the breeder of the Pastel Trick Gary Leisen. He was caught off guard as well!

So the first snake out of the egg died and it was a cheetah ball python (exactly what I was trying to get) But what happened next was just jaw dropping (at least for me).

I had to make this video to get some advice from all of you. What is this ball python morph??? Please comment below and thanks for watching!

Hey Everyone and welcome back to the Criss Karver Channel.

So a few weeks ago, my son and I took my 26 year old ball python 'Kha' out to the park with one of my other snakes. While letting them roam around, I couldn't help but notice how far the ball python has morphed since 1993 when I bought Kha. Back then, the only other type of ball python to buy was an albino but even then they were going for thousands of dollars.

Although Kha will always be my favorite, there are some super cool genes out there such as this pastel banana mojave that just glow!

I just had to show the comparison to you!

Hey Everyone and welcome to the Criss Karvr Channel!

Those of you who watch my channel know that I am a HUGE ball python fan! My oldest is 26 years old this year in 2019!

Since owning a ball python, I have always been fascinated with the thousands of morphs that are being made every day. One of these morphs cant really be explained but it is a true work of art!

This morph is the paradox morph. These ball python morphs carry the coolest colors and eye catching to anyone who witnesses one.

I've complied this group for you so you don't have to spend time searching for them. I've brought them to you!

And yes... there is 26

Hey Everyone and welcome to the Criss Karver Channel.

Well, it finally happened. I had a terrible loss a few days ago when one of my heaters shut off and killed 15 tiger barbs, my texas cichlid and my new red texas cichlid!

It was a very sad day as I scooped each one out (most of the tiger barbs at least 3-5 years old).

I couldn't figure it out at first when all of a sudden, every fish in the aquarium except for the Oscar and Flowerhorn fish began acting strange and then suddenly began swimming in circles and upside down.

I tried to figure it out but both heaters were showing a light (proving that they were on) and so I skipped over the idea that the temperature drop was too much. I finally realized when I scooped out a tiger barb with my hand that the water was definetely too cold for them. The thermometer showed a 15 degree drop!

Needless to say, I bought a new heater that day and changed 40% of the water to add warmer water in. Two days later everyone that had survived was back to normal.

It was a shame to say the least but if there is one thing this has taught me is to never trust a heater even if the 'ON' light is glowing!

Things will recover and in time and I will add new friends but I hope this information will help just one person out there. I personally have had a great record on losing fish. VERY RARE in my 30 years have I lost one except for natural causes. This was the first odd occurrence and hopefully the last!

Pastel Banana X Mojave Ball Python

Hey Everyone! Okay, in 2016 I killed the odds with my pairing of Pastel Banana ball python to a Mojave ball python. Thetis (my mojave) gave me FOUR Pastel Banana Mojaves, ONE Pastave, ONE Banana Mojave and ONE Pastel BananaI

This year in 2017... Thetis gave me THREE Pastel Banana Mojaves, ONE Pastel Banana, ONE Banana, ONE Mojave and ONE Normal ball python.

These guys are SUPER cool and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Banana ball pythons are one of the coolest morphs in my opinion and mixing that mojave gene just makes that glow!!

Hey Everyone! Welcome to the Criss Karver Channel where I primarily deal with fish and snakes.
Today I'm going to show you the first couple of signs that your fish are breeding ... or nesting.

In this video, my black convict fish are in the mood for love! Now, even though we will not see any eggs, the sure signs of breeding are very clear!

When fish choose a nesting area the first thing you will notice is the other fish. Yes!! When the other fish look crowded on one side of the fish tank, it's a pretty clear sign that someone is nesting nearby.

In this case... my convicts! They have set up a nesting sight on the left side of the fish tank and are defending it. When they lay eggs, you will normally see just on of the parents as the other is 'fanning' the eggs and watching for predators.

This is a quick video of the signs of breeding and if these eggs hatch there will be a follow up for you!
